Juli Stimus

1957-2002

This is a story about a guiding light.

An older sister can be a beacon to your future. That’s who Juli Stimus was for her four younger siblings. She was a ringleader who’d boss them around in the back of their packed minivan. She was also a trailblazer, the first to go off to college and explore the world on her own. She lit the way forward, and her siblings followed, whether Juli realized it or not.

Tragically, domestic violence extinguished the light of Juli’s story too soon.

After Juli’s death, her sister Dee hiked across the country to honor her by raising awareness about domestic violence. When the going got tough, Dee felt Juli’s love pushing her forward because a guiding light never truly goes out.

Help stop other stories from being interrupted by domestic violence.
